Woman arrested at scene of burglary in George Town

Around 2:20PM yesterday afternoon, Tuesday, 11 August, Police responded to report of a burglary in progress at a residential address on Andy Drive, in George Town.  A 42-year-old woman was arrested at the scene. Entry had been gained through a window.

The woman is presently in Police custody.

Man charged with robbery of nail salon

A man, age 38, from George Town, was arrested on 7 August on suspicion of robberies committed on 10 July 2015 on Godfrey Nixon Way (Nail Salon) and on 26 June 2015 in Raleigh Quay. This morning, 12 August, the man was charged with robbery in connection with the Godfrey Nixon Way incident and with possession of an imitation firearm with intent to commit an offence.

The man is due in court this morning.
