Man charged with West Bay burglary Aug 26
A 48 year-old man of West Bay was arrested on suspicion of burglary on Friday, 25 August.
The man is alleged to have entered a unit on an apartment complex and disturbed the refrigerator in the victims’ home. The police had cause to immediately seek out and arrest the man in relation to this incident.
On Saturday, 26 August, just after 1:15PM, as a result of the investigation, the man was formally charge for Burglary on the directions of the Office of the Director of Public Prosecution (ODPP). He is scheduled to be before the court today 28 August, at 10AM.
Vehicle Fire in George Town, 26 August
Just before 1:45AM on Saturday 26 August, the Police and the Fire Service were dispatched by a 9-1-1 Communication Centre to report of a vehicle fire at residence in George Town.
The Fire Service extinguished the fire. No one was in the vehicle, a white Honda Stream, at the time, and no one was injured as a result of the fire. There was also no damage done to any other properties in the surrounding area.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time and a joint investigation, between the RCIPS and the CIFS has been launched into the matter.
