Cayman Islands marketing conference to promote art of innovation
Over 100 marketing and communication professionals will converge at the Westin, Grand Cayman Resort & Spa on Tuesday, 13 October for the 3rd Annual CIMPA Marketing Conference presented by Digicel.
Hosted and organized by the Cayman Islands Marketing Professionals Association (CIMPA,) the conference theme focuses on “The Art of Innovation.”
Speakers will include both local and international industry experts in a number of marketing related fields such as social media, web domains, digital media, branding, creative and more.
CIMPA Chairman Lynne Byles said, “Cayman’s marketing professionals will learn from industry leaders about the convergence of the marketing industry’s latest innovations and emerging trends. There is truly a topic for everyone from marketers to small business owners to CEOs.”
The day will start at 8:00am with registration, followed by an impressive line-up of speakers and hosted by Vicki Wheaton of Pinnacle Media.
The conference will open with speaker Viveka von Rosen, International LinkedIn Expert. Viveka is the author of bestselling “LinkedIn Marketing: An Hour a Day” and a contributing expert to several official LinkedIn publications. She has also been listed by Forbes as a top social media influencer for 3 years, and has been cited and featured in Money Magazine, Simple Living, CNN, Forbes, Entrepreneur, Fortune, Mashable and The Social Media Examiner.
Richie Kelly, CEO, Trend Media leads the Digital Media division for Digicel in the Caribbean previously working for leading powerhouses in Europe such as Amazon, Ebay, BBC.com and Sky. Richie will walk attendees through some simple building blocks to keeping a business relevant in the mobile age.
Shomari Scott, Marketing Director for Health City will analyze how our daily routines can squash the seeds of innovation leaving delegates to ask if they are an “Innovation Murderer”.
Frank Schilling, Founder of Uniregistry, will present “Domain Innovation: Naming and Its Importance to your Business” discussing the evolution of naming and its continued importance to Internet Marketing in the age of Twitter, Facebook and other forms of social media.

The conference will close at 4:05pm followed by a networking reception.
