Just about 8:30PM on Saturday 10 March, Police and other emergency services were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communication Centre to the vicinity of the Island Heritage roundabout, where it was reported that a vehicle had caught on fire after overturning.

The man driving the vehicle was said to have lost control and the vehicle, ran of the road way, and over turned with 2 male passengers inside. The passengers managed to exit the vehicle that was catching fire and pulled the driver out before it was completely engulfed in flames.

The 3 men were transported by the ambulance to the Cayman Islands Hospital for treatment and the fire was put out by the Cayman Islands Fire Service.

The two male passengers are believed to have minor injuries at this time, however the driver of the vehicle, is believe to have serious and life-threatening-injuries.
