Motor Vehicle Collision on Eastern Avenue Saturday Afternoon, 23 July

Around 3:45PM the 9-1-1 Communications Centre dispatched police, fire and emergency personnel responded to a report of a collision between a silver Honda Civic and a white Ford truck on Eastern Avenue. The truck was traveling south on Eastern Avenue when it veered across the road and struck the Civic, which was parked, with no one inside. The truck flipped on its side.

The driver of the truck, a man, was alone in the vehicle. He was extracted from the vehicle by fire officers and taken to Cayman Islands Hospital. He was treated and released from the hospital with no serious injuries.

The accident is under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call the Traffic Management Unit at 649-6254.
