Shortly before 7:30PM on Sunday, 17 December, the 9-1-1 Communications Centre dispatched officers to a report of a motor vehicle collision on West Bay Road in the vicinity of Cayman Beach Suites, involving a black Suzuki motorcycle and a grey Honda CR-V. The driver of the motorcycle was transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital and treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries. He remains in stable condition. The driver of the CR-V, a man aged 40 of George Town, was arrested on suspicion of Dangerous Driving and bailed.

West Bay Road was temporarily closed following the incident to conduct a traffic investigation, and reopened to traffic shortly after 12:00AM, 18 December.
