Further to the release below, please note that the driver of the Cadillac involved in the crash was treated and released from hospital late yesterday evening.

Yesterday evening, 9 May, around 8:45PM, 9-1-1 dispatched police, fire and emergency services to a report of a motor vehicle collision on Crewe Road in the vicinity of Ella Ray Gardens Drive.  A motorbike and black Cadillac had collided at the intersection with Ella Ray Gardens; as a result of the collision, the black Cadillac also collided into the rear of a Toyota Corolla parked on Ella Ray Gardens Drive.  The motorcyclist had fled on foot in the direction of Ella Ray Gardens before police arrived, leaving the motorbike at the scene.  The driver of the Cadillac was taken to Cayman Islands Hospital for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident is under police investigation.  Police have preliminarily identified the motorcyclist and are currently searching for him.
