Motorcyclist Injured in Bodden Town Crash

The motorcyclist injured near Bodden Town on Sunday is still in hospital in stable condition.

An 18 year old male motorcyclist is currently recovering in hospital after a collision in the Bodden Town area.
About 6pm yesterday, Saturday 17th April 2016 the male was riding a yellow 2005 Suzuki DR7 motorcycle in Windward Drive, Bodden Town. He then lost control, hit a wall and ended up in bushes.
No other vehicle or persons involved.
Police and medics attended the scene.
His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
Police enquiries are ongoing and anyone with any information are asked to contact the Traffic Department on 946-6254 or the Bodden Town Police Station on 947-2220
Sudden Death-Seven Mile Beach

The young man who passed away on Saturday, 16 April, can now be identified as John Michael Shaw, age 16, of West Bay.

At about 5.30pm yesterday, Saturday 16th April 2016 medics attended the Seven Mile Public Beach to a report of a local 16 year old male collapsed on the beach believed to be asthma related.
The male received CPR and was transported to the GT Hospital, he was later pronounced dead.
The death is not being treated as suspicious at this time.
The RCIPS Marine Unit are continuing with the investigation.
Sincere condolences are expressed to the family by all emergency services, an RCIPS family liaison officer has also been appointed.
