Heidi Suárez is a professional dog trainer originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico, now residing in the Cayman Islands where she offers training services to dogs and their owners in obedience, house training and agility. She also offers consultation services to owners with dogs with aggression problems, separation anxiety situations and other behavioural issues.

Heidi is a part and member of various canine organizations including the Puerto Rico Agility Team, Caribe Kennel Club and the Canine Good Citizen (CGC) program. She has been training with her dogs in Agility since she first adopted her border collie Ginseng and her love of learning and reading have helped her in sharing her knowledge with new owners and helping them learn to properly communicate with their dogs. Heidi feels training should be fun for both dog and handler, and of course humane with no need to force dogs or owners to do anything they themselves do not want, or are not ready to do.

• Heidi has given many different demonstrations, visited schools, camps and hospitals, represented the island (Puerto Rico) in national events and has made many appearances in local and national television.

Puppy Pre-School Classes is a must for all owners looking to give their puppy the very best start in life and the opportunity to grow into a well behaved, sociable dog. Classes are designed for puppies between 6 to 12 weeks of age, as it is much easier to teach a puppy the correct behaviour at this young age than it is to correct bad behaviour later in life. Our absolutely unique and innovative all-or-none reward training techniques make training puppies, adolescent and adult dogs a peaceful and enjoyable experience. Initial exercises focus on calming, settling-down and regaining attention to facilitate teaching basic manners – sit, down, stand, stay, walking on-leash and polite greetings.
