Just before 5PM yesterday, 30 June, the 9-1-1 Communications Centre received a report of a single-vehicle MVA on Shamrock Road in the vicinity of Spotts Dock. Two men were in the car, a white Toyota Corolla, which had collided with a wooden utility pole. Police, fire, EMS and CUC personnel attended the scene.

Both men were trapped in the car. Fire officers extricated the men, who were then transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital with serious injuries. They are still in the hospital in critical but stable condition.

The incident is under investigation. Anyone with information about this accident is asked to call the Traffic Management Unit at 649-6254.
