The National Trust has partnered with KPMG to host the 2nd annual Glow Run 5K in Grand Cayman on Saturday, June 6th. In keeping with the theme “Light up the Night for a Brighter Future”, participants are encouraged to deck out in sparkling costumes, face paint, luminous accessories and flashing lights. This popular run will start and end at Margaritaville with a glow after party where food, drinks and glow items will be on sale while participants enjoy music being played by Cayman’s top DJ’s.

Prizes from our sponsors will be given to the top 2 finishers for the male, female and children’s category as well as the best costumes. A corporate prize category has also been added for the company who displays team spirit in the most creative way. All ages and fitness levels are encouraged to show up and get glowed up to run or walk. Each participant will receive a runner’s pack with goodies from our sponsors. Adult sign ups are CI $35 and Children CI$25.

The race route will be a loop throughout George Town and officially starts at 7pm. Participants are encouraged to arrive for registration at 6pm to take advantage of free neon face painting. Additional glow items will also be on sale at the Trust merchandise store, located in the Dart Family Park, leading up to the event as well as on the day. Participants have the option to partake in a splash of biodegradable and non-toxic UV reactive paint and powder along the route and expect to go into extreme glow as they approach KPMG “Glo Hard or Go Home” stations.

Serious competition is not the top priority. The craziest costumes; posing in the KPMG “Glo Hard or Go Home” photo booth; and being covered in powder and paint when passing through a spray station on the route, are the most entertaining aspects of this event.

Participants have the option to partake in a splash of biodegradable and non-toxic UV reactive paint and powder along the route, which will put them into “extreme glow” mode as they approach KPMG “Glo Hard or Go Home” stations.

Proceeds from this community event will benefit the National Trust for the Cayman Islands and interested participants may register online at nationaltrust.org.ky. Adult signups are $35 and children are $25.
