Cayman Islands newest restaurant opens in Camana Bay
Camana Bay’s newest restaurant, Pani Indian Kitchen, is officially open. With an interior reminiscent of an Indian street bazaar, complete with resplendent colours and unique artwork (including a wall installation of dyed teabags), and a menu featuring the best of multi-regional Indian cuisine, a meal in Pani is an experience in and of itself.
This is not surprising when remembering that the restaurant was opened by The Market Street Group as its seventh outlet. The Market Street Group’s name is synonymous with experiential dining and stunning interiors – from the Asian cocoon of Mizu Asian Bistro + Bar to the fresh, industrial-chic vibes of The Brooklyn Pizza + Pasta to the urban trendiness of Craft Food & Beverage Co. As part of a restaurant group, guests wishing to order a takeaway from Pani Indian Kitchen can combine their order with friends, coworkers or family members who want to order Asian from Mizu Asian Bistro + Bar or off the menu at The Waterfront Urban Diner.
All three restaurants also offer incredible lunch deals Mondays through Fridays – with Pani and Mizu both offering three courses for CI$14 and $15 respectively, or take advantage of The Waterfront’s housemade soup or a wrap with a side, which changes daily. Orders can be made from each restaurant’s menu, but all takeaway orders are collected from The Waterfront Urban Diner, making it easy to fill everyone’s stomachs while pleasing all palates on a lunch break.
The restaurant opened Tuesday, August 1 and has received a fantastic response from all who have visited. The restaurant’s team of Indian chefs create dishes from bite-sized appetisers to a wide range of curries and main courses – from dosas to biryani and tandoori – to a selection of traditional Indian sweets.
“There’s really something for everyone – we have received great feedback on the menu, the flavours and the restaurant as a whole,” says Jeff Stewart, manager with The Market Street Group. “It’s all about the experience, transporting people through the senses is something we take great pride in and look forward to taking our guests around the world through food, décor and customer service.”
