CIOC Administrative Officer Job Description
The Cayman Islands Olympic Committee (CIOC) will be offering an exceptional opportunity for an outstanding university graduate who wishes to further or pursue a sport/leisure career in the Cayman Islands. The CIOC will provide students scope to develop their professional skills through short-term on the job experience within the sporting community in Cayman and through the Olympic Movement.

The CIOC strives to support Cayman Islands National Sporting Organizations in achieving sustained levels of competitive excellence and to preserve the Olympic Ideals while inspiring and involving all Caymanians to participate in sport.
Position: CIOC Administrative Officer (AO)

Job Description:
The CIOC is seeking a full-time employee to assist with logistical and administrative coordination
Timing & Location:
Monday to Friday, 9am – 4:30pm
Cayman Islands Olympic Committee
B3 Cayman Business Park, Elgin Avenue George Town, Grand Cayman
**The CIOC hosts educational forums, fundraisers and/or other events which will require the AO to assist out of office hours on occasion.
Core Responsibilities and Priorities
The CIOC Administrative Officer is expected to fulfill the following, but duties are not limited to these responsibilities:
Assisting with the preparation of teams to attend International Games; accreditation, travel, ticketing, team gear, pins, accommodations and rate card
Maintaining a clear and concise relationship between the CIOC and National Sports Federation.
Assisting the NFs with NPO applications and guidance in relation to Funding Requests
Assisting with the coordination of local funding through International organizations; grant application / reporting processes and accounting of CIOC issued funds; athlete scholarships, team support, coaching / athlete / federation / medical education, event specific, and national
legacy team support, coaching / athlete / federation / medical education, event specific, and national legacy
Assisting with the organization and running of educational workshops
Assisting in the fight against doping; out of competition testing, and substance awareness
Assisting with the coordination of merchandise sales and fundraising efforts
Producing Financial reports for Auditors
Assist with the reporting of Financials for the various Grants received from the International
Entities and Cayman Islands Government.
Assisting with the management of the CIOC website and social media
Management of the day to day operations of the CIOC Office.
Ensuring that all monthly utility bills and expenses have been paid on time.
Email correspondence
Managing and sorting of travel arrangements and accommodations for CIOC Executive Members to travel to and from AGMs overseas.
Quick-book entries and monthly reconciliation.
Assisting Federations with Funding Requests.
Assisting Olympic Solidarity Scholarship recipients/Federations with monthly expense
submissions.
Ensuring that all necessary information has been relayed to all of the Sporting Federations and
Associations.
Performing the role of Chef de Mission when selected by the CIOC Executive at Games.
Preparing Payment for Funding Requests that has been approved by the CIOC Executive.
Preparing and executing outgoing Wire Transfers to pay for CIOC Annual Fee Affiliations.
Performing tasks that the Office administrator II would normally do when they are on vacation or out of office.
Requirements
The candidate must:
Be Caymanian and interested in working in the Cayman Islands sport community
Have a degree in Sport Management, Sport Administration, Business Management or related field
Have advanced knowledge of MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
Have high time and priority management skills; ability to meet deadlines on multiple projects
and tasks, arrive on time, etc.
Have initiative; having the ability to work effectively within a team and on their own
Have the ability to build and maintain excellent work relationships with the various internal and external stakeholders of the CIOC
