Cayman Islands Pink Ladies Annual Christmas Tea and Bazaar
For many local residents, the holiday festive season starts with the Pink Ladies Annual Christmas Tea and Bazaar and this year will be no exception as the popular family event is scheduled for Saturday 29th November 2-5pm at ARC Camana Bay.
Tickets are currently on sale from individual Pink Ladies or at the Pink Ladies Coffee Shop at George Town Hospital and the $5 entry fee includes a delicious tea featuring a vast array of homemade sandwiches, cakes, teabreads and cookies served with tea or fruit punch.
The craft group ladies work throughout the year and their stall is always heaving with a wide range of beautiful handmade crafts including Christmas gifts and decorations, quilts and linens, bags, dolls and decorated shells, boxes and other items and eager shoppers will be able to pick up some unique products for Christmas and home.
The Country Kitchen will feature an enticing variety of home produced jams and preserves, cakes and cookies all prepared by the industrious Pink Ladies.
The White Elephant offers plenty of bargains and interesting items for the savvy Christmas shopper whilst the raffle and silent auction offer attendees the chance to win fantastic prizes donated by generous local businesses.
Keen gardeners know that the Bazaar is the place to stock up on locally grown plants and always take the opportunity to visit the plant stall, run in conjunction with the Garden Club this year, set up in the shade outside the hall.
There will be a variety of traditional holiday entertainment on stage during the afternoon provided by Cayman National Choir and others.
Children will be well entertained with face and nail painting and Christmas crafts and activities and will have the opportunity to visit Santa’s Grotto to put in in their Christmas wish and help families in need through Cayman’s ARK “Giving is Receiving” programme.
In addition, the Humane Society will be holding a book sale and Cayman HospiceCare will be selling some beautiful Christmas ornaments and attractive 2015 calendars to support their causes.
The Annual Tea and Christmas Bazaar is a major fundraising event for the Pink Ladies who also operate the Pink Ladies Coffee Shop at George Town Hospital. Funds raised by the Pink Ladies are donated back into the Community, primarily through the NCVO and The Pines Retirement Home in addition to other community projects and charities as funds allow.
