Police Disrupt Commercial Burglary-in-Progress on North Church Street Early This Morning, 28 June; One Man Arrested
Just past 12AM this morning, Wednesday, 28 June, police responded to a burglary-in-progress at a business on North Church Street. As they drove up, police saw three men running from the location toward Rock Hole Road, in addition to a man on a bicycle, and gave chase.
One of the men, age 57 of George Town, was ultimately arrested on suspicion of burglary and is currently in Police custody.
A window had been smashed during the incident and a quantity of jewellery stolen.

Police Recover Electronics and Other Items; Member of the Public Invited to View
Officer of the RCIPS carried out a search warrant last week, and recovered a large number of electronic items to include tablets, laptops music equipment like speakers and construction tools, in particular power tools.
The police are inviting members of the public, who have had any of the mentioned items stolen, to contact DS Andrew Graham at 926-3070 or DC Devon Bailey at 925-1153, to set an appointment in order to view and possibly identify some of the items recovered.
A man, 47-years-old of George Town, was arrested in relation to this, and has been charged with Handling Stolen Goods; his matter is currently before the court.
