George Town Man Charged with 12 Offenses Including Arson and Assaulting Police, 11 February
A man, age 21 of George Town, has been formally charged with 12 offenses including:
· Two counts of Causing Fear or Provocation of Violence, in relation to incidents on 5 and 13 October, 2018;
· Dangerous Driving, Driving Without Being Qualified, Driving Without Insurance, and other traffic offenses, in relation to an incident on 13 October, where he attempted to evade police in an unlicensed and unregistered vehicle;
· Arson, in relation to an incident on 13 October where the above-mentioned vehicle was set on fire;
· And Resisting an Arrest, Escaping Lawful Custody, and Assaulting Police, in relation to an incident on 2 February, where he fled from officers attempting to arrest him, and assaulted an officer in the process.
He is appearing in court this morning, 11 February.
Woman Charged For Drug Offenses Following Search in East End, 11 February
On Thursday, 7 February, RCIPS officers executed a search at an address off Sea View Road in East End under the Misuse of Drugs Law. During the search a significant number of parcels of suspected ganja (over 100) were recovered, along with a quantity of cash and drug paraphernalia. A woman, age 24 of East End was taken into custody at the location.
She has now been formally charged with Possession of Ganja with Intent to Supply and Possession of Criminal Property. She is appearing in court this morning, 11 February.
