Yesterday, 7 February, officers executing a search warrant at an address in the Safehaven Drive area of West Bay recovered a loaded firearm. Upon conducting further operations in the Watercourse Road area of West Bay, officers arrested a man, aged 37 of George Town, on suspicion of Possession of an Unlicensed Firearm. A search of the man revealed a small plastic container containing a quantity of suspected cocaine. The man was further arrested on suspicion of Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Supply. A woman, aged 23 of West Bay, was later arrested in connection with the incident, also on suspicion of Possession of an Unlicensed Firearm.

The two remain in police custody as investigations continue.
