On Friday, 4 September, police were monitoring traffic in Bodden Town when a dirt bike sped past at excessive speed. Police pursued the rider and engaged the siren, but the rider failed to stop and increased speed in order to evade police. Other police units and the Air Operations Unit then engaged in the pursuit. Police on the ground lost sight of the rider, but the police helicopter tracked him to an address in Bodden Town, where he was arrested for dangerous driving in both manner and speed, and driving without insurance, registration or certificate of roadworthiness. The man, age 19, from Bodden Town, is on Police Bail.
