RCIPS recover drugs on Shedden Road, George Town, 6 September

Just after 3pm, yesterday, 6 September, Officers of the Neighbourhood Police Department were carrying out foot patrols on Shedden Road, when they discovered a quantity of ganja near a chicken coop.
Officers had been patrolling near Archie’s Bar on Shedden Road and saw a man behaving suspiciously. Upon seeing the officers, he left the area through the bushes. Officers made attempts to stop the man but were unable to do so. On inspection of the area, officers found a bucket containing jars filled with ganja. There was also a bag discovered with more ganja and other paraphernalia. In all there was approximately 3lbs of ganja recovered.
The incident is currently under investigation. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the George Town Police Station at 949-4222.
