Wanted Man Hands Himself Into Police Custody, 22 December

Wanted man Thorston Smith has turned himself into police custody following an appeal to locate the 28-year-old-man of George Town. (see press release below

He has been arrested on firearm related offenses following his attendance the police detention center where he remains in custody whilst investigations continue.

This morning, Saturday, 22 December, police have been conducting searches of a residence on Palm Dale Avenue in George Town and the surrounding area in relation to a man wanted for firearm-related offences. The police helicopter has been deployed to the area.

Police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating Thorston Alvey Smith, age 28 of George Town.

A picture of Mr. Smith is attached.

He is of brown complexion, about 5’10” tall, with brown eyes and brown hair, and weighing about 170 lbs.

The police are requesting public assistance in locating Mr. Smith.  If he is seen, he should not be approached, and 9-1-1 should be called immediately.
