Surrender and Charge in Aggravated Burglary
This morning, 9 March, Elemer Wright, of George Town, surrendered himself to Police custody at the Cayman Islands Detention Centre at Fairbanks.
The safe resolution of this situation was brought about through joint efforts of police officers, family members, his attorney and members of the community, to whom we express our appreciation.
This afternoon Mr. Wright appeared in court on charges of Aggravated Burglary in relation to the incident in Patrick’s Island on 17 June 2017. He was remanded, and returned to police custody at the CI Detention Centre as investigations into the murder in Prospect on Tuesday evening, 6 March, and other offences continue.

Mr. Wright is just under 6’ tall, and weighs about 165 – 175 lbs., and is of light complexion.
Elmer Wright is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached or followed. If seen, 9-1-1 should be called immediately and the location and time of the sighting should be provided.
