Independent theatre to be named Camana Bay Cinema

Grand Cayman, 1 November 2017: As Camana Bay celebrates its 10-year anniversary, its cinema announces a rebrand as an independent theatre called Camana Bay Cinema.

The contract with Regal Entertainment draws to a close at the end of November. In December, the cinema will launch its new logo and brand identity, promising a fresh outlook for one of Cayman’s favourite attractions.

The Regal Loyalty programme will draw to a close in December to make way for a new loyalty programme to be launched early in the New Year, so existing members are encouraged to use up their points by November 30. Otherwise, the cinema will continue its regular schedule of new releases with the same selection of box office movies as distribution channels will remain the same, as will pricing and the recently expanded concession offerings.

The cinema’s events series such as Kids Club, Classics at the Cinema and Culture at the Cinema will continue, and the recently opened VIP auditorium will also maintain its regular schedule of hit films, pleasing audiences with the Dolby Atmos surround sound technology and the comfort of reclining leather seats. The theatre – along with other screens in the cinema – can all be rented for private parties or corporate events, as well.

Of the rebrand, Operations Manager Simon Watson says, “This is a really exciting time for Camana Bay Cinema, as operating independently gives us the flexibility to give our customers even more of what they want and to continue improving the experience for cinemagoers in the Cayman Islands.”
