Cayman Islands: Robbery on Birch Tree Hill Road, West Bay

On Saturday December 5th 2015, around 10:22 pm 911 received a report from a 55 yr. old male that while riding his bicycle along Birch Tree hill Road he had been robbed of two plastic bags which contained $35.00 worth of groceries .
The victim was accosted by two males, both of whom were known to him. One assailant was in possession of what appeared to be a nine inch butcher’s knife.
On the arrival of the Police, a search was conducted and a portion of the groceries were recovered.
No injuries were sustained by the victim.
The incident is under investigation by the West Bay Police Station.
