From RCIPS

At about 7:40PM yesterday, 28 June, the 9-1-1 Communications Centre dispatched officers to a report of a robbery at a barber shop on Eastern Avenue in the vicinity of School Road. Two men entered the shop, one of whom brandished a machete, and demanded cash. The culprits then fled on foot towards the rear of the shop, in the direction of School Road, with a quantity of cash and personal items. No one was injured during the incident.

One of the suspects is described as being short in height, of brown complexion, and had a black cloth covering his face. The other suspect is described as also being short, and of dark complexion, wearing a black shirt.

Anyone with any information pertaining to this incident, or who may have seen anything suspicious on Eastern Avenue yesterday evening, is asked to contact George Town CID at 949-4222.
