Cayman Islands Rotary Club’s gifts back to school supplies to students
24 students started the new academic year with “bags” of confidence thanks to the generosity of Rotary Club of Grand Cayman Sunrise.
The service club donated a carful of colourful backpacks with school supplies for distribution by the Department of Children and Family Services’ (DCFS) to deserving students.
“Rotary Sunrise knows how important having the right kit is,” said one of the club’s Community Services Directors Jenna Mungall. “We are pleased to gift these backpacks and back-to-school stationery to students and hope that these items will contribute to their academic success.”
“The Department of Children and Family Services is thrilled to receive the backpacks and school supplies from Rotary Club of Grand Cayman Sunrise,” said Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Social Work Manager Tiffany Myles. “We are extremely grateful for this act of kindness and are certain that the children who receive these essential school supplies will also be thankful and put them to good use.”
