Cayman Islands RUNDOWN Soon Come!
Show dates: May 12 – 15, 20 – 22, 27 – 29 (8pm/6pm on Sundays)
Rehearsals are in progress and Cayman audiences can expect another hilarious serving of RUNDOWN beginning May 12 at the Harquail Theatre. The annual comedy revue features a star studded local cast including many of your favourite performers who thrill us every year as we take a close look at the comical side of our seriousness. No topic is off limits – politics, religion, sports, media, “supermarketing”, fauna and flora, “happy” laws, ganja cures…and more!
RUNDOWN, written, designed and directed by Henry Muttoo, is 24 years old – way past legal age for voting (who will get our votes you ask? Wouldn’t you like to know!) and it is a much anticipated tradition and indelible part of the landscape just like Easter camping and bush medicine. If you don’t know what the ‘marl road’ is (and no, it is not the start of DART’s new road by Camana Bay) or if you are trying to get the hang of things in Cayman, don’t miss it! If you are all too familiar with the Marl Road, cow itch, Tru Tru, Cock Crow and Mac, we know you’ll be back for another pain-a-belly this year.
