Shortly after 6PM yesterday, Thursday 19 October, officers responded to a report of an assault at Kirk Market in George Town. It was reported that two security guards were speaking to a man on the premises when he became agitated and used a small machete to strike at one of the guards. The guard received a small scrape to his face. The man, age 54 of George Town, was arrested on suspicion of assault ABH and taken into police custody, after which he was released on police bail.
