Traffic police are appealing for witnesses following a motor vehicle collision early this morning,Saturday 19th March 2016, which resulted in four persons being taken to hospital with non life threatening injuries.

About 2.45 am a red Hyundai Santa Fe motor vehicle was being driven by a 28 year old male carrying a 45 and a 32 year old female travelling towards George Town.

As the Hyundai reached the vicinity of John Greer Blvd it collided with a black Mercedes travelling in the opposite direction driven by a 40 year old male.

All parties are currently being treated at the GT Hospital.

Following the collision the road was closed to allow accident investigations and the removal of the vehicles to take place.

The road has now been reopened to traffic.

Police enquiries are ongoing and any witnesses are asked to contact PC Chong at the Traffic Dept on 946-6254 or GT police station on 949-4222.
