Police can now confirm the name of the deceased female cyclist as Rhonda Marie Ebanks Azan.
RCIPS pass their sincere condolences to the family at this time.
Brief circumstances are that at approximately 645pm yesterday the pedal cyclist was travelling towards George Town along Shamrock road when the cyclist collided with a Ford F250 truck travelling in the opposite direction in the vicinity of Matilda Drive.
Both the driver and the cyclist were taken to GT Hospital.
The driver was released a short time later,arrested on Suspicion of Careless Driving and bailed.
Police are again asking the public if they witnessed the accident or have any information to contact the George Town Police Station on 949 4222.

Police can confirm that a 61 year old female cyclist passed away at George Town Hospital.
Police are assisting the deceased family at this time.
Accident investigators are currently on scene.
A 54 year old male driver of the motor vehicle has been arrested on Suspicion of Causing Death by Careless Driving.
Police are asking for any witnesses who saw the accident or who have any information to contact the George Town Police Station on 949 4222.

Police are currently dealing with a serious motor vehicle accident which occurred in the vicinity of Savannah Primary school involving a motor vehicle and a female pedal cyclist at approximately 645pm.
Motorists are asked to use the East/West arterial road,the road is blocked from Lantern Point Shamrock Road to Countryside Shopping Center.
