Cayman Islands: Serious MVA Reverent Blackman Road West Bay

Tonight (Wed) at 08:06 pm, a serious MVA accident occurred on Reverent Blackman Road, West Bay in the vicinity of the Liberty’s Restaurant involving a Toyota Rav 4 and a dirt bike. The Rav 4 was driven by a 17-year-old female resident of West Bay whom was unaccompanied, and the dirt bike was ridden by a 21-year-old male , and he was accompanied by a 21-year-old female pillion passenger, both residents of West Bay.
The accident happened when the driver of the Rav 4 was travelling west on Reverent Blackman Road, and the dirt bike was travelling in the opposite direction and both vehicles collided when the driver of the Rav 4 was turning right into the Liberty’s Restaurant parking lot.
The driver of the Rav 4 apparently did not receive any physical injuries. However, the rider and passenger both received injuries, but the passenger received serious head injuries.
Police and Medics personnel arrived at the scene, and the injured rider and passenger of the bike were transported to the George Town Hospital where they are admitted.
Both vehicles received extensive damages.
