Cayman Islands: Two separate vehicular accidents Sun 13 August

Three Vehicle Collision on West Bay Road, 13 August
The 9-1-1 Communication Centre dispatched police and other emergency personnel to a motor vehicle collision involving 3 vehicles on West Bay Road, just passed the Lawrence Blvd stop light, Sunday, 13 August, just before 9PM.
A white Toyota Trueno appears to have collided into the rear of a Dodge truck and into the front door of a Kia motor car that was headed in the opposite direction. The Dodge truck flipped over into the middle of the roadway.
Of those involved in the accidents, only two persons reported minor injuries and were transported to the hospital by the ambulance.
The roadway was closed while police carried out investigations, but was later cleared just after 11:30PM. The accident is still under police investigation, and anyone with information is asked to call the Traffic Management Unit at 649-6254. Two Vehicle Collision at Eastern Avenue Stop Light Early Sunday Morning, 13 August
Police responded to a two-vehicle collision on Eastern Avenue, at the intersection with Godfrey Nixon, that took place yesterday 13 August, just after 1AM, involving a Kia Sportage SUV and an Audi A4 car.
During enquires at the scene, police had reasonable suspicion to arrest the driver of the Kia Sportage, a 35 year-old man of George Town, for driving under the influence of alcohol and subsequently for resisting arrest.
Both vehicles received major damage as a result of the accident. Police continue their investigations into this matter.
