Police are investigating a three vehicle collision which occurred around 930pm Saturday night in the vicinity of South Church Street and Boilers Road GT.

The circumstances are that a 37 year old female driving a Nissan Xterra SUV crossed the centre line and collided with a  Hyundai Lio travelling in the opposite direction which also collided with a Honda Civic.

As a result of the collision smoke was seen coming from the engine of the Hyundai which was extinguished by the Fire Dept.

All parties were taken to GT Hospital for treatment and later discharged

The  driver of the Nissan SUV was subsequently arrested on suspicion of DUI and later bailed.
