Cayman Islands: Two Motor vehicle collisions with injury Tue Afternoon, 18 September

Police Responded to two motor vehicle collisions yesterday afternoon in George Town where person reported being injured. The details are below:
Two Vehicle Collision with Injury on Elgin Avenue, 18 Sept
Police and other emergency services were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision along Elgin Avenue, near the Cayman National Bank’s roundabout involving two vehicles.
A burgundy Honda CRV that was said to be travelling on Elgin Avenue towards the Cayman National Bank’s roundabout when a White Chrysler Town and Country was said to have been exiting the Mid-Town Plaza collided causing major damage to both vehicles.
Both drivers of each vehicle complained of injury and one of the drivers were taken to the Cayman Islands Hospital where they received medical treatment and were later released.
This incident is being investigated by the Traffic and Roads Policing Unit.
Three Vehicle Collision with Injury on Owen Roberts Drive, 18 September
Police and other emergency services were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision along Owen Roberts Drive where a man received injury.
The incident was said to have occurred when a GMC Truck was exiting the Cayman Islands Customs headquarters and collided with a Honda vehicle that was headed west on Owen Roberts Drive, pushing it into a parked Ford E-150 van.
The driver of the GMC Truck did not report any injuries to the police at the scene, however the driver of the Honda was transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be serious and he was later discharged.
The Ford vehicle did not have any occupants at the time of the collision.
This matter is under investigation by the Traffic and Roads Policing Unit.
