Around 11:30PM Saturday night, 28 January, the 9-1-1 Communications Centre received a report of a collision on Estherly Tibbetts Highway in the vicinity of Lakeside apartments.   A Ford pick-up truck was on its side, having collided with a CUC pole.  A second vehicle, a Ford Edge was also involved in the collision.

The driver of the pick-up truck, a man, age 27 of George Town, was arrested on suspicion of DUI and transported to police custody.  The driver of the second vehicle was taken to Cayman Islands Hospital and later released.

The incident is currently under investigation and anyone with information should contact the Traffic Management Unit at 649-6254.
