On Friday, October 16, 2015 customers in parts of George Town experienced interruptions to their electricity service between 1:22 p.m. and 3:48 p.m. Areas affected included North Sound Road, Dorcy Drive, Maclendon Drive, Hospital Road, Walkers Road, Memorial Avenue and parts of Shedden Road and South Church Street.

This interruption to service was due to equipment failure on a pole on Maclendon Drive in the vicinity of Foster’s Food Fair.

CUC crews worked safely to identify the problem and restore power as quickly as possible with service being restored to all affected customers by 3:48 p.m.

CUC sincerely apologises for the inconvenience the outage may have caused.
