Cayman Islands water pipeline replacement to start soon
Water Authority — Cayman is pleased to announce that Phase II of the project to replace the water main along Bodden Town Road will commence on Monday, 18 January, 2016. These planned works are essential to upgrade the water infrastructure in the area so that the Authority can better serve its valuable customers in Bodden Town.
Affected residences and businesses will be connected to a temporary service line to minimize interruptions in service while the pipeline project is underway.
The second and final phase of the pipeline project will affect Bodden Town Road from Gun Square Road to Manse Road and is expected to take approximately 10 weeks to complete.
To facilitate these works, portions of Bodden Town Road will be restricted to the motoring public from 9:00am to 4:00pm daily, allowing for local access only. All other traffic will be diverted around the work area via Anton Bodden Drive. Traffic signs will be posted in the general vicinity and all motorists are asked to drive with caution to ensure their own safety as well as that of the Water Authority staff.
Please note that the Authority will strive to ensure access to local businesses is maintained throughout the project. The Authority is committed to completing water infrastructure works in a timely fashion with as little negative impact on its customers as possible. The Authority thanks the local businesses and their patrons affected by these planned works for their patience during the final phase of the Bodden Town Pipeline Project.
The Water Authority appreciates the patience and understanding of its valuable customers as it upgrades its water infrastructure to better serve you, and apologises for any inconvenience this may cause.
