UPDATE – From RCIPS -The woman, aged 39 of West Bay, who was arrested on Friday, 16 February (see below), has been charged with Wounding or Causing Grievous Bodily Harm with Intent, Wounding or Inflicting Grievous Bodily Harm, and Carrying an Offensive Weapon. She is appearing in court today, 19 February.

Shortly after 1:40AM today, 16 February, the 9-1-1 Communications Centre dispatched officers to a report of an assault in the vicinity of Birch Tree Hill Road, West Bay. A woman had been stabbed by another woman who is known to her. The victim was transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital where she received multiple stitches and was released. The other woman, aged 39 of West Bay, was arrested on suspicion of Assault GBH. She is currently in police custody as investigations continue.
