Woman charged with Obtaining Property by Deception from the Cayman Islands Needs Assessment Unit

On Tuesday, 20 March, a woman, aged 64 of George Town, was arrested and formally charged with Providing False Information to a Public Officer and Obtaining Property by Deception. The woman is alleged to have fraudulently obtained $30,000 in financial assistance from the Needs Assessment Unit between 2014 and 2017. She is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, 27 March.
