Cayman Islands: Wounding on Eastern Avenue in George Town, 9 December

About 3:30AM on Saturday morning, 9 December, police and other emergency personnel were dispatched to a report of a wounding on Eastern Avenue, in the vicinity of the Godfrey Nixon junction.
It was reported that the man and woman got into an argument with someone in the parking lot, and the suspect in the matter, a man not known to either of them, assaulted them with an unknown object causing a laceration to man’s head and a laceration to the woman’s arm. The victims reportedly ran away from the location and as a result the vehicle key and the woman’s hand bag containing cash and other valuables were stolen.
At the scene officers observed a man was bleeding from the head and the woman from the arm; they were both taken to the Cayman Islands hospital where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries and released.
Three (3) men, one (1) 18 year-old of West Bay and two (2) 19 year-olds both of George Town, along with one juvenile male was arrested in relation to this incident. They have all be bailed pending further investigations.
