Cayman Islands Youth Ambassadors Applications open
From Cayman Islands Youth Services Unit
GRAND CAYMAN (GIS) – The Youth Services Unit (YSU) is inviting persons to apply to become Cayman Islands Youth Ambassadors.
Application forms and further information are available online on the YouthFlex Facebook page or by contacting Youth Services Coordinator James Myles via email to [email protected].
The pledge of the National Youth Policy Task Force is this: “Our greatest responsibility in this life is to be good ancestors,” says Mr. Myles. “We are the dynamic link between the past and future. The aim is quite straightforward: to enjoy what we have inherited, and to make the Cayman Islands a better place for the youth of today and for those of generations to come.”
Following this premise the YSU is inviting dynamic and community-minded Caymanian youth, between the ages of 18 and 27, to apply for the role of Cayman Islands Youth Ambassador. The programme is intended to prepare them for present and future lead roles in the Cayman Islands.
Open to all young Caymanians, expressions of interest are sought whether individuals are just starting college on-island, starting work, just returning from college or still studying overseas. Successful candidates should be able to represent local youth when on school breaks or at weekend conferences.
The Ambassador Corp will consist of three males and three females. The application submissions deadline is Friday, 15 February 2019.
