UPDATE CANCELLED! Cayman: Morning traffic flow adjustments for Prospect, Linford Pierson & Crewe Road areas, starting 2 October
From RCIPS
The temporary traffic flow adjustments scheduled to be implemented tomorrow morning, 2 October (see below), have been cancelled until further notice. The RCIPS Traffic & Roads Policing Unit, along with partners from the NRA and Traffic Management Panel, will be conducting additional aerial review of the traffic flow in these areas tomorrow morning.
The public will be further updated when any new adjustments are scheduled to be implemented.
The RCIPS is advising the public of some temporary traffic flow adjustments that will be made in the Prospect, Linford Pierson Highway, and Crewe Road areas during the morning hours, from 6:00AM to 9:00AM, beginning tomorrow, 2 October. These adjustments will focus on the Red Bay roundabout, with the aim of easing congestion and allowing westbound traffic to flow more freely.
During these hours, eastbound traffic will be diverted left along Shamrock Road after passing Grand Harbour, and will not be permitted to travel along the East West Arterial until reaching the Chrissie Tomlinson roundabout.
Westbound traffic will not be permitted to turn left onto Old Prospect Road before the Chrissie Tomlinson roundabout.
There will also be traffic diversions in place at the King’s roundabout and the Linford Pierson Highway roundabout (junction with Agnes Way).
Traffic officers will be in place in these areas directing traffic, and road users travelling in these areas during these times are advised to pay attention to all road signs and traffic diversions, and to follow all traffic directions given by police officers.
