Wee Make Music!

An Engaging Music Group for Preschool Children and their Caregivers

This group will provide a fun environment in which children birth through 4 years of age can experience music in developmentally appropriate ways. Young children learn best through play as they experience the world around them, and music allows play to occur naturally and frequently. Music stimulates all of the senses and involves children at many levels. Participation in music groups from a very young age encourages socialization, self-expression, communication, motor skills, and creativity.

Research shows that children learn best from the important adults in their lives, namely parents and other primary caregivers. For this reason, by participating in sessions with your child and modeling both musical and non-musicalbehaviors, you can foster a love of music as well as healthy engagement with others. In this group you will also learn fun and easy ways to incorporate music into your daily lives and routines.

Children of all abilities are welcome. Groups will be facilitated by a board-certified music therapist who is specially qualified to work with children at all stages of growth in meeting their developmental milestones.
