Cayman National Choir & Orchestra Carols at Elmslie are cancelled

CNCO performing at Elmslie 2019

From Cayman National Choir & Orchestra

We write to advise that sadly we have decided not to stage our traditional Carol Concerts at Elmslie this year. We were so pleased and very proud that last year’s concert was streamed and would like to invite you to stream the same one again, if that might help fill a very big void this Christmas time. We’re happy to ask our Chairman Sydney Coleman to record an introduction if that would help, and please let us know if you need a different format.

As you can imagine we have tried everything we can possibly think of to mitigate the risks of live singing in an enclosed space. We are very aware of the uplifting spirit which our traditional Carols bring to the wider community so this decision has not been made lightly. The unwavering support from our members in our endeavour has been so comforting as we weighed the pros and cons, and we were heartened that so many confirmed they’d try to participate.

We’d like to thank Elmslie for their encouragement, patience and support and we look forward to working again with the team there next year. We must also say a big thank you to Fabrizone Cleaning Company who had generously offered to supply us with enough (PHI technology, which inactivates airborne viruses) machines to purify the air in Elmlsie. Let us hope we have no need of them next year, but their generosity for their community is much appreciated.

This coming Tuesday 5.30pm a very few of us will be singing at Jasmine’s ‘Light Up A Life’ service outside at 62 Forum Lane, Camana Bay . Otherwise we can but look forward to wonderful Carol Concerts next year  – and in the meantime hope you will take up our offer to stream last year’s concert. We will be offering this to the Churches, The Pines, and as many as we can think of

Until next year, thank you, and stay safe.

Best wishes
from the team at CNCO
