Cayman National ‘on track’ for continued success after celebrating 40th anniversary

The Cayman National Group chose the Isle of Man and the Steam Railway’s Pullman dining experience for its 40th anniversary celebrations.
On an unseasonably warm evening in late April 60 guests, among whom were group board members from the Cayman Islands and introducers and clients from the Isle of Man office, boarded the train in Douglas to enjoy an evening of celebrations to mark the founding in 1974 of the group which has its headquarters in the Cayman Islands and offices in the Isle of Man and Dubai.
Cayman National’s Isle of Man managing director Ian Bancroft said: ‘The evening was a resounding success, due in no small part to the unique experience of travelling in such magnificently restored vintage carriages and a superbly presented dinner produced by Steve Quirke and his team from The Ticket Hall.
‘The event not only provided an opportunity to meet with some of our Cayman Islands colleagues but also to share our celebrations with many of our valued local clients.’
Mr Bancroft added that thanks to its conservative approach Cayman National, the largest financial group headquartered in the Cayman Island, had remained resilient to the vagaries of global economic uncertainty, continued to garner awards and was an ardent supporter of community initiatives in each of the jurisdictions in which it operated. In the Isle of Man Cayman National’s commitment to community engagement ranges from supporting youth and sporting endeavour to fundraising for palliative care.
The group established its first overseas venture in 1985 when it opened its Isle of Man office. Mr Bancroft said: ‘Since then the business has developed substantially and we now enjoy a heightened presence locally, as more and more clients are looking to Cayman Nation for innovative wealth management solutions. 1985 was, indeed, a further milestone in the group’s history and we are looking forward to celebrating our 30th anniversary in 2015.’
