Cayman: New culinary experiences at Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa
As the trend of culinary travel continues to rise, so does the search of new, culinary experiences and what better way to indulge in some of the most delicious cuisine than in the culinary capital of the Caribbean, Grand Cayman. Known for its fresh seafood and farm-to-table offerings, the Caribbean flare is warmly embraced by restaurants and kitchens all across the island, including the kitchen of Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa, which has the below culinary events rolling out this March.
- Walk in Her Shoes Brunch at Ave – March 8:Kimpton Seafire is hosting an extension of Camana Bay’s ‘Walk In Her Shoes’ in partnership with the Crisis Centre. Gentleman will be invited to wear heels in exchange for a donation from Seafire. The event will include a red carpet and step and repeat as well as some fun shoe-themed food and drinks. Servers will be wearing high heels, too!
- 100 Years of Prohibition Seafire Speakeasy – March 14-28:Kimpton Seafire will be launching a pop-up Speakeasy in their Lobby Library for two weeks in celebration of 100 years since the prohibition. The space will be transformed, drinks will be themed, and there will be live music. Guests will be asked their membership number for entrance to The Library, which will be the island’s area code ‘345’. Locals and guests are welcome to visit from 5:30 PM – 11 PM every night.
- Sea to Farm Dinner – March 28: The restaurant team at Ave will be hosting a sea to farm dinner for thirty guests, which will be held in a Bodden Town farm with Plantation Organics. Guests will be picked up from Seafire Lobby at around 5 PM and transportation will be provided to Plantation Organics. Attendees will receive a guided walk around the farm followed by a four course, locally sources dinner accompanied by wine pairings.
