Cayman: Official Register of Electors Published: Record Number of Voters Registered

The Elections Office is pleased to announce that the Official Register of Electors has been finalised and published, with a new record number of 25,643 voters. This list confirms the individuals eligible to vote in the 2025 General Election and Referendum on Wednesday, April 30.
The 1 April 2025 Official Register has over two thousand more voters than the 1 April 2021 register, which stood at 23,609. The growing electorate reflects the continued commitment to civic participation, and the Elections Office is dedicated to ensuring every eligible voter is ready to have their say in the electoral processes that will take place later this month.
Supervisor of Elections, Wesley Howell, said “We are thrilled to see such a remarkable increase in the number of registers electors, we are working hard to ensure that every eligible voter has the information and resources they need to cast their ballot confidently. We encourage voters to plan ahead, be informed, and use the available voting options to ensure their voices are heard.”
With the 1 April Official Register now in effect, all eligible voters are encouraged to collect their voter ID cards as soon as possible. Those who registered by the 15 January 2025 deadline, changed their name or moved to a different electoral district, must ensure they have an updated voter ID card. A voter ID, or another form of photo identification, will be required to participate in the electoral process.
The deadline to apply for mobile and postal voting is Thursday, 17 April. These options are available for voters who may be travelling outside the Cayman Islands, unable to attend a polling station on Election and Referendum Day, or who require alternative voting arrangements. The Elections Office is committed to ensuring that every eligible voter, including those with mobility challenges or other accessibility needs, can participate in the election. Voters who may have difficulty reaching a polling station are encouraged to apply for mobile voting before the deadline to ensure they can cast their ballot with ease. If unable to mark their ballot personally, voters can be assisted once they instruct the Presiding Officer on how the ballot should be marked on their behalf.
