From CI Little League Chairman, John Cridland

Today (Fri 14 Feb) begins the opening weekend for the Little League Season! (Please see schedule below). It will mark the 31^st year of this vital community programme which has impacted thousands of Cayman’s youth.  For the past six years, the Cayman Islands YMCA has been working together with the Little League to provide camps and after school activities at the Field of Dreams. 

In 2018, a partnership was created with the YMCA to manage programmes and facilities, which will include the complete renovation of the Field of Dreams this year.  Parents and children involved with Little League have noticed many improvements over the past two years.  “The Y’s involvement was very timely and has been extremely beneficial.  I want to thank the Y, all of our tremendous sponsors and volunteers, and the community as a whole for continuing to support the Little League Programme.

The Official Season Launch tomorrow (Saturday) morning at 10am at the Field of Dreams. We will have the CILLA Chairman John Cridland, CILLA and YMCA Founder JC Calhoun and the YMCA CEO Greg Smith all on hand to speak about the programme and the partnership between the Y and Little League.
