Cayman: Pirates Week Festival 2020 to spotlight smaller, more manageable stand-alone events
| The Pirates Week Festival has put on its creative hat and come up with a ‘2020 version’ of the National Festival that we all know and love. Existing restrictions regarding crowd numbers have resulted in the standard Pirates Week Festival model in Grand Cayman being reinvented to spotlight smaller, more manageable stand-alone events that are spread out from November 5th – 11th. Smaller events will also take place in Cayman Brac on October 31st and Little Cayman November 13th -15th. |
| Check out our full list of events below but meet some right here: Pandemonium The Official Pirates Week Beach Dance. Cause pandemonium and paaaaaarghty like a pirate at Coral Beach! There be drink specials-a-plenty, live music and DJs – Riddim Posse, DJ Munroe, DJ Craig and Sound Revolution. PoppyShow An evening of entertainment celebrating Cayman’s rich heritage and culture. Combining, fan favorite, the National Song Competition and the District Heritage Ambassador Costume Competition, the night is sure to be an enjoyable spectacle for all! Interested in participating in the PoppyShow? National Song Competition – Calling all singer/songwriters! 1st Prize: $3,000 | 2nd Prize: $2,000 | 3rd Prize: $1,000. Navigate your way to George Town Yacht Club to join the George Town to North Sound/ Rum Point Flotilla. Either BYOB (Bring Your Own Boat) or climb aboard the paaaaaarghty boat and rock your barnacles off to our live DJs! Find The Booty Scavenger Hunt Ye be invited to ‘Find the Booty’ along with the winning prize of $4,000! Arrrr ye up to the challenge? Gather your crew, rev your engines and join in the fun. This scavenger hunt is designed for all ages and will take you all over the island via an app on your mobile phone. |
