UPDATE: Police Identify Victim in Water-Related Death
Police can now confirm the identity of the victim in the water-related death which occurred in West Bay on Friday, 14 October. She is 70-year-old Pamela Bartlett Wilson, a visitor from the United States.
The RCIPS expresses condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
Water-Related Death in West Bay, 14 October
Shortly before 9:50AM today, 14 October, officers were dispatched to a report of a person in distress on the shore at the West Bay Public Beach dock. It was reported that a woman had been out diving when she experienced difficulties. The woman was brought back on board the boat by which time she had become unresponsive. She was brought to shore and emergency services attended the location and transported her to the Cayman Islands Hospital via ambulance, where she was subsequently pronounced dead.
The woman, age 70, is a visitor from the United States.
