Cayman: Police investigate armed robbery in George Town

Around 08.30PM, Friday 3 March, police received a report of an armed robbery that took place in the vicinity of Brushy Avenue, George Town.
The victim, a woman, was socialising with friends outside at her residence, when two males, both reported to be carrying firearms, entered the residence. It was reported that one of the men approached the woman, grabbed bags belonging to her, and then fired a gunshot through the roof of the tent under which the woman and her friends were sitting. The man then departed the residence on foot with the other man.
The bags contained a sum of money, and other personal items belonging to the woman. No one was injured during the incident.
One man was described as stout build, around 5’9”, dark complexion, and wearing a blue hoodie jacket, dark jean shorts, with slippers and a dark face mask. The other man was described as slim build, about 5’7”, dark complexion, and wearing a black hoodie, dark jean shorts with slippers and a white face mask.
